Treasure our environment!

This week we looked at what else can be considered treasures. Treasures don't have to be things that we have in our homes, or people that we love. They can also be our environment.

We looked at the air, water, and trees and plants as being a treasure. We believe that these can be treasures because they are important in our lives. We need to have healthy air to survive, our water needs to be clean, and our trees and plants help us to breathe.

We need to make sure that we treasure these things so that our environment can continue looking beautiful, and we can continue doing the things we enjoy i.e. swimming, going for walks.

Check out some of the work that some of Room 6 have done! Also feel free to visit their individual blogs to leave positive comments.

We're back in Lockdown!

We're back in Lockdown, which means we need to make sure that we do our best with what we have. We have Remote Learning. This means we are learning from home using our Class Sites to learn. Google Meets have been set up three times a day with our teachers - Miss Tuiā, Mrs Lagitupu and Mr Hughes.

This week we are learning about treasures. With our theme being 'Tiaki Taonga - Cherish our Treasures", the teachers wanted to dive deeper to learn about what a treasure is. Treasures can mean different things to different people. Whether it is gold, money or diamonds, others may have people, photos or jewellery as theirs. Check out some of our work from Room 6 students.

Feel free to comment positive comments. We hope you are having a great Lockdown!

Introducing Room 6 for 2021

This is Room 6 at Point England School for 2021!

We are so excited for what this year has planned for us. Some of us are new to the school, new to Team 4, and the rest of us new to the 678 area.

Our theme this year is 'Tiaki Taonga - Cherish our Treasures'. We will be learning about what different treasures we possess as individuals, as a class, as a school, and as a nation. We will also be looking at the best ways to cherish them, and understand why they are a taonga. There are so many things that we can look at for 'Tiaki Taonga', and we can't wait!

Some of the things we are looking forward to this year is Year 5 and 6 Camp, Swimming, Manaiakalani Film Festival, PES Sports, Year 6 Camp, and many more events.

Make sure to check out our class blog, as well as our individual blogs that you will find along the side. Feel free to leave positive comments.
