Introducing Room 6 for 2019!

As excited as I was, I was also nervous to meet the new Year 6's for 2019. Some of the children in this class had already experienced being in a shared learning environment, and others were moving from a single cell class.

I was privileged to get to know some of these children in 2018, and I couldn't wait to get to know everyone else.

Our theme for this year is 'Kia pai te kotahi' which means better together. I am looking forward to seeing the children in Room 6 work with each other and see the benefits of how doing things as a group is easier than by oneself.

Feel free to visit our Room 6 blog and leave comments, and even go and check some of the children's work throughout the year - I know they would love that!

  1. Kia Ora Room 6. I'm Venessa Davan, a teacher from Paparore School, and one of your buddy Tuhi Mai, Tuhi Atu classes. We look forward to this sharing journey with you and finding out more about your classroom.

I too was nervous this year being the senior teacher, but found that I have an amazing class and look forward to spending the year with them.

We can't wait to read some more of your learning, and for some of your comments on our class blog.

  3. Hi room six I am a student of Venessa Davan but I call her Mrs Davan I know I would be nervous to meet a bunch of different kids that sometimes I haven't even meet before. And some of the things I would worry about is
probably if they liked me or not but I'm sure they all love having you as a teacher. I can't wait to see more of your classes learning by the way
