Kindness and Kaitiakitanga

This week in our CyberSmart lesson, we watched Oat the Goat, discussed how we can be kind and things that we can do to be kind.

In last weeks assembly, Mr Burt's korero was 'wheoritia te atawhai - make kindness go viral'. We found that kindness is contagious and if we spread kindness where we can, the world can be a much happier place.

  1. Hi Room 6...I think it was really fun doing this activity and combining it with our Cybersmart lesson...My favourite one was Kolopa's because she spelt kindness out as a poem and it really encourages us to show others how to be kind to one-another. You should also show respect to other people as well. What was your favourite one?

  3. Kia Ora Room Six! Emma from Karoro School Ruma Rima. I loved all of the positive words you had in the slide. Maybe try to make sure that the words don't blend into the picture so it's hard to read. You taught me you always needs to be kind to people even when they are not your friend. KA PAI guys.

I think you just need a little bit of a walt and a reflection. Which slide do you like the best? but besides that keep up the kindness and the great work that your doing. 😁

  9. Hello my name is Manaia and I go to a school called Paparore. I love this post and I love all the quotes about kindness. I think in one of your slides I couldn't quite read that light blue writing so I think make it darker so people can read it properly. This is still a beautiful post and you should keep up the good work. I would like to follow you but I already have. That shows that your class is amazing. Keep blogging.

  10. Cool! My favourite slide is No. 4 and your right, kindness is a big thing because it help encouragement, friendships and most important off all, respect. We have been looking towards the Sir Peter Blake Leadership award and this answers Student Agency. (also what we have been looking into). Yolanda's is also a great explanation of kindness. The only thing is I can't read some of the slides because the colour of the text is too dark for the back round. Otherwise I love it! 10/10 hearts for this post :)
